We are back! It has been a long and busy road throughout this pandemic. Covid 19 has changed all of our lives and everyone has had to adapt and change.
The headlines are scary. The reality is overwhelming. We are in the midst of a pandemic. Schools are closed, people are losing their jobs and hope seems dim. But there is hope. That hope is found in Jesus Christ.
But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly. Luke 22: 60-62
What did Peter just do? How could he deny Jesus after all they had been through? This was the lowest moment of his life. He had failed miserably. Peter didn’t have faith that Jesus would take care of him. He was only thinking about himself.
“If I don’t get help, I’m not sure if I’m going to make it.” This statement was the beginning of a life-giving transformation in the life of our guest, Blake Hudspeth. We get to sit down and talk with Blake about the journey he’s been on for the past several years in discovering real freedom, which he describes as “the ability to live the way GOD has designed you to live.”
Some people are just so good at what they do! Michael Jordan was the best basketball player, Morgan Freeman has the best voice ever and Star Wars is the greatest movie franchise of all time! Ok, some of you may not agree with us on the above list, but there is always someone or something that is the best at what they do. If you are a church goer you know there is always that one person who seems like they can pray better than anyone. The question is though, why do we force ourselves to try and be them?
